Time Magazine

So this is why reading is important, The Dec. 22, 2008 issue of Time Magazine was by far it's most entertaining and informative one since I was in the fifth grade. From Happiness being passed around like the flue to Polars Bears being the first animals on the Threatened Species list thanks to global warming, I had my eyes glued on this issue from cover to cover.

According to Time Magazine, Happiness apparently is related to the "Six Degrees of Separation" Theory and is apparantly contagious. Yoiur mood is affected by those around you and by those closest to you that are not even within a miles distance. Telecommnication may be a cause of your mood and could make you up to 5.6% happier if a friend of a friend of a friend is having a good day.

The Pope finally forgave John Lennon for saying "The Beatles are more popular than Jesus" and he gave an extensive seminar to American priests about the issue of sexual harrassment.

The Poor Polar Bears! Also, apparantly elephants die of Herpes =/.

There is new medication for something or other.. I forgot but it was important.

One of the top ten movies was Iron Man!!!!!!!

W/E you get my drift, it was amazing and you should pick up a copy. I wish I wouldve posted this two days ago when it was fresh in my mind but I just got time to do it now lol. Hope you guys have great holidays! <33333

boys..

so i found this article on msn messenger and its enthralling lol how much of this is true, please tell me =)

How To Keep Your Man Happy: 11 Things He Wants

1. Your backing when he takes a risk. Guys need to keep in touch with adventure — why else would “Man vs. Wild” be a TiVo staple? “When I wanted to switch careers, my girl said to go for it,” says Will, 30. “Having her in my corner gave me the courage to try.”

2. The right to keep secrets. Why should he have to tell you his friend is having an affair, or that his cousin lost his job and hasn’t told his wife yet? If it’s not integral to your relationship, don’t feel threatened. His discretion shows he’s a grown-up.

3. A guilt-free boys’ night out. The cure for “girly-man” syndrome is contact with other high-fiving men. This may mean a trip to the bar or an Ultimate Fighting Championship — but it’s definitely without you, and that’s OK. “See me off with a smile,” says Al-Teriq, 38. “That trust is critical.”

4. The green light to actually have sex, should the opportunity arise, with someone on his Celebrity List of Five. And by all means, hop on Brad Pitt if you ever get the chance.

5. Some space when his team loses the big game. And you can save your “maybe next year” optimism; just give us time alone to weep.

6. A heads-up when you just need us to listen. Sometimes all you really want to do is vent to us about something. A simple warning in advance and we promise we’ll stay quiet and let you talk it out.

7. Patience when he says the wrong thing. Like when you ask, “How’s my hair?” and we say, “Fine,” instead of “Amazing!” Give us a break: We’re trying.

8. Big guffaws and tiny giggles. We like to hear laughter — preferably following one of our silly jokes. We know, we know: Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld we are not, but anything you offer will be very much appreciated.

9. Frequent (and enthusiastic) trips downtown. Yes, we all request this, but that’s because it really is that good. We’re happy to return the favor.

10. A GPS for the car. You want this too. It will end those “where the *#!? are we?” arguments once and for all.

11. The freedom to be himself. It’s important for people in a relationship to retain a sense of self, and for guys that’s achievable in some unexpected ways. “Leaving the toilet seat up or spending the weekend in boxers can be an act of rebellion,” says Samuel, 27. “We need to do stuff we’ve always done, even though you might not like it.”

I just thought this was interesting, true or not lol but it might make some foggy things clear <3

My Hero =)

Some things you didnt know about Nirvana Thanks to Blender =)

Kurt’s imaginary friend got drafted to Vietnam.
Kurt Cobain was born on February 20, 1967. At age 2, he was living in Hoquiam, Washington, and had an imaginary friend, Boddah. Parents Wendy and Don Cobain were so concerned about their son’s propensity for fantasy that, when an uncle was drafted to Vietnam, they told young Kurt that Boddah had been called up too.

At church, Kurt found God — and Krist Novoselic.
On Wednesday nights, Kurt went to Christian Youth Group, where he befriended 19-year-old Krist Novoselic, whom he’d first met in high school. They started covering Led Zeppelin songs together. Kurt was baptized and, according to youth counselor Dave Reed, “accepted Jesus Christ into his life,” but his religious fervor soon waned.

Kurt saved people’s lives. When he wasn’t mopping toilets.
In May 1985, Cobain started work as a janitor and — in the case of staff shortage — a substitute lifeguard at the local YMCA. One night that summer, he graffiti’d the YMCA building. Kurt didn’t seem to realize that as janitor his first assignment the next day would be to clean it up.

Being a Cobain pet was high risk.
In 1981, Kurt killed a cat by trapping it inside his parents’ chimney. Five years later he accidentally stepped on the head of his pet rat, Kitty, and was forced to beat it to death with a plank. In 1991, Kurt dyed his kitten, Quisp, red, white and blue with Kool Aid — then watched it have sex with his pet rabbit Stew.

At first, only furniture thought Nirvana were cool.
One of Nirvana’s first shows was booked at Seattle’s Central Tavern early in 1988. However, the attendance clocked in at an underwhelming zero. Cobain disappointed the expectant chairs and tables. “We loaded up our stuff and left,” he recalled.

Cobain painted on the side. And jizzed on his work.
In 1989, Kurt’s neighbor Amy Moon visited his apartment to commission a painting. Cobain told her that once a piece was finished he would add his “secret ingredient.” “My seed is on this painting! Look, you can see how it glistens,” he announced to her.

…then tried heroin.
In November 1990, Kurt first injected heroin. He had previously smoked pot, experimented with LSD and even inhaled fumes from aerosol cans. In the fall of 1991, though, Kurt’s journals record an eerie decision: “I decided to use heroin on a daily basis because of an ongoing stomach ailment.”

Courtney kept Kurt’s gayness in check.“I’m definitely gay in spirit,” Kurt told The Advocate in 1993. “If I hadn’t found Courtney, I probably would have carried on a bisexual lifestyle.”

Kurt once dumped a girl on live TV…In 1991, Nirvana and Hole were on tour in the U.K. and Kurt’s flirtation with Love was ongoing. But musician Mary Lou Lord believed she was his girlfriend. When Lord visited the U.K., Cobain couldn’t bring himself to tell her in person. When Lord switched on Channel 4 to watch Nirvana perform, she heard Kurt announce, “I just want everyone in this room to know that Courtney Love, of the pop group Hole, is the best fuck in the world.”

Ungrateful kids made Nevermind number 1.
Until Christmas, Nevermind was a top 10 hit. In the week after Christmas, though, it finally reached number 1, toppling Michael Jackson’s Dangerous. “We saw an incredible number of kids returning the CDs their parents had given them for Christmas and buying Nevermind in exchange,” marveled a Tower Records exec.

Kurt grabbed all the royalties.
Initially Kurt had been happy to split royalties equally with David Grohl and Novoselic. But Nevermind proved more successful than their wildest dreams, and Kurt had written the words and music. In 1992, he threatened to dissolve the band unless he got 100 percent of revenue from lyrics and a 75/25 split for music. Grohl and Novoselic agreed.

Fearful of becoming Axl Rose, Kurt skimped on groceries.
Stunned by his meteoric success, Cobain was keen to establish that he wasn’t a decadent rock star like Rose, whom he despised. He stated that in the tax year 1992 to 1993 he earned $1 million: $380,000 went to taxes, $300,000 to a new house and the rest to doctors and lawyers. This left $80,000 for personal expenses, including food. “That’s definitely not what Axl spends in a year,” insisted Cobain.

A wax statue of Cobain once got better VIP treatment than the real deal.
In August 1992, Cobain was strolling in London’s Piccadilly area before playing the Reading Festival. Desperately needing to pee, he tried to enter the Rock ‘N’ Roll Wax Museum — but guards told him toilets were for “patrons only.” The rejected Cobain was upset to see his own waxwork gazing at him from the window.

Sid and Nancy comparisons were not lost on Kurt and Courtney.
Cobain used to check into hotels under the pseudonym Simon Ritchie, the real name of Sex Pistol Sid Vicious. Love’s first acting role was as Nancy Spungen’s friend in Alex Cox’s 1986 movie Sid and Nancy.

Kurt’s chemical dependency counselor OD’d.
Drug rehab physician Rob Fremont had tried a radical and illegal detox method on Cobain. In 1993, Fremont was under investigation by the Medical Board of California for over-prescribing the drug buprenorphine to patients when he was found dead at his desk. Though the death was ruled a heart attack, his son Marc claimed it was a suicide by OD.

Kurt suggested a double suicide the day after Frances was born.
On August 19, 1992, the day after his daughter was born, Cobain read a Vanity Fair article claiming that he and his wife had used heroin during the pregnancy. Agitated, he took a .38 into the maternity ward and suggested to Love they commit suicide. As a ploy to disarm him, Love took the gun, saying she would die first.

Duff McKagan tried to save Kurt.
In April 1994, Guns N’ Roses bassist McKagan found himself next to Cobain on a flight from L.A. to Seattle. Cobain had just absconded from the Exodus rehab facility in Marina Del Rey after just two days’ treatment. “I knew from all my instincts something was wrong,” remembered McKagan. He offered him a ride from the airport, but Cobain slipped away.

He died listening to R.E.M.
On April 5, 1994, at his Seattle home, Kurt Cobain arranged his heroin stash, his rifle and some towels around him. He then played R.E.M.’s Automatic for the People. His body was found by electrician Gary Smith on Friday, April 8, dead of a shotgun blast to the head.

The last note he wrote was addressed to Boddah.
He wrote one suicide note for Courtney and Frances and another to his fans. The latter was addressed to Boddah, his imaginary childhood friend.

Kurt was the Foo Fighters’ drummer. Sorta.
In January 1994, Grohl and Novoselic showed up to record in Seattle. Kurt skipped, so they recorded some of Grohl’s ideas. When Kurt showed two days later, he played drums on these sketches. In 1995, Dave Grohl formed the Foo Fighters and re-recorded some of these ideas.

Fun Stuff! The entire list can be found at :http://www.blender.com/guide/articles.aspx?id=1419

Enjoy =)

On Being 21

I just turned 21 last week, and let me tell you.. so far it was been one of the best experiences in my life. Not just because now I can legally buy alcohol and am more proned on getting a DUI, but just because I have had so many people express their love and appreciation for me just cuz its my bday lol. What are friends for if not for buying you shots and dragging you out of a bar when you're super gone? Or maybe surrounding you with garbage bags so that you wont purge on their couch because they are offering their home to you? lol. Being 21 opens so many doors, my first 21 and over club was a pretty sober experience, but an experience nonetheless. I loved just dancing with my friends, no restrictions, I can do whatever I please because nothing can stop us now! David Guetta, Rihanna, Pitbull, and the best of the 90's were there to cheer us on. Amazing.. I still get lost sometimes and it always slips "How old do you have to be to get in?" Pau Pau caught me the other day and I beamed when I realized I don't have to ask anymore. The only bad side, it's all downhill from here lol. Now I only have retirement to look forward to. I wish more people had an open mind though. Alcohol is not the only way to have a good time and party. I am waiting for some suggestions to see if anyone is creative enough in order to offer alternatives. If you find anything let me know, I am officially old enough to do whatever I please =)

Interesting Facts about Love =)

I was looking at my MSN messenger and this came up =) I found most pretty funny and wanted to share!!

For the full list go to: http://lifestyle.msn.com/relationships/articlematch.aspx?cp-documentid=10416019>1=32023

*Men who kiss their wives in the morning live five years longer than those who don't.

*People are more likely to tilt their heads to the right when kissing instead of the left (65 percent of people go to the right!)

*When it comes to doing the deed early in the relationship, 78 percent of women would decline an intimate rendezvous if they had not shaved their legs or underarms.

*Feminist women are more likely than other females to be in a romantic relationship.

*Two-thirds of people report that they fall in love with someone they've known for some time vs. someone that they just met.

*There's a reason why office romances occur: The single biggest predictor of love is proximity.

*Falling in love can induce a calming effect on the body and mind and raises levels of nerve growth factor for about a year, which helps to restore the nervous system and improves the lover's memory.

*Love can also exert the same stress on your body as deep fear. You see the same physiological responses — pupil dilation, sweaty palms, and increased heart rate.

*Brain scans show that people who view photos of a beloved experience an activation of the caudate — the part of the brain involving cravings.

*The oldest known love song was written 4,000 years ago and comes from an area between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.

*The tradition of the diamond engagement ring comes from Archduke Maximillian of Austria who, in the 15th century, gave a diamond ring to his fiancée, Mary of Burgundy.

*People who are newly in love produce decreased levels of the hormone serotonin — as low as levels seen in people with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Perhaps that's why it's so easy to feel obsessed when you're smitten.

*According to mathematical theory, we should date a dozen people before choosing a long-term partner; that provides the best chance that you'll make a love match.

*A man's beard grows fastest when he anticipates sex.

*Every Valentine's Day, Verona, the Italian city where Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet took place, receives around 1,000 letters addressed to Juliet.

*When we get dumped, for a period of time we love the person who rejected us even more, says Dr. Helen Fisher of Rutgers University and author of Why We Love. The brain regions that lit up when we were in a happy union continue to be active.

*Familiarity breeds comfort and closeness … and romance.

*One in five long-term love relationships began with one or both partners being involved with others.

Help Save Lives

Hey guys, so as you all know I'm a member of the Relay For Life committee at FIU and participated as a team captain last year. I have never had cancer, had a family member have cancer, or have seen a friend go through hardships with this disease. So why should it affect me? This is why (Please Play the Video):

How can something that is so strong nation wide not affect you as a person? As a citizen it is your duty to give back to those less fortunate and as a human you should care about those around you. My mother (God forbid) could be on this video one day, or you, or me. Wouldn't you like someone to be there for you if it does happen? Someone to fight for your cause when you can't even walk? Fight with us however you can. Love. <3 Just wanted to share this, Participate this year in the Livestrong walk on campus and join Relay for Life. Thanks <3

Miami is the host of America's most attractive citizens =)

No one can compete with that statement ;). According to an online survey of "America's Favorite Cities" conducted by Travel + Leisure Magazine, Miami is home to the most beautiful people in the nation. Consider yourself lucky to live in such a diverse metropolis where you can find beauties from the four corners of the world. Maybe we're beautiful (yes we lol) because of the beachy atmosphere or the idea that Miami is a non sleep, always something to do type of city. Whatever it is, we're hot B). Pat yourself on the back =)

Top Skills Needed to Succeed in Life...

This is harder than I thought, I'm applying for an Internship online and they're asking what my "Special Skills" are. I dunno what to put.. I'm double jointed? w/e lol its time to look for some internet help. Thank jeebus for google =).

According to quintcareers.com, these are the most sought after skills in employess:

Skills Most Sought After by Employers

Communications Skills (listening, verbal, written). By far, the one skill mentioned most often by employers is the ability to listen, write, and speak effectively. Successful communication is critical in business.

Analytical/Research Skills. Deals with your ability to assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives, gather more information if necessary, and identify key issues that need to be addressed.

Computer/Technical Literacy. Almost all jobs now require some basic understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email.

Flexibility/Adaptability/Managing Multiple Priorities. Deals with your ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.

Interpersonal Abilities. The ability to relate to your co-workers, inspire others to participate, and mitigate conflict with co-workers is essential given the amount of time spent at work each day.

Leadership/Management Skills. While there is some debate about whether leadership is something people are born with, these skills deal with your ability to take charge and manage your co-workers.

Multicultural Sensitivity/Awareness. There is possibly no bigger issue in the workplace than diversity, and job-seekers must demonstrate a sensitivity and awareness to other people and cultures.

Planning/Organizing. Deals with your ability to design, plan, organize, and implement projects and tasks within an allotted timeframe. Also involves goal-setting.

Problem-Solving/Reasoning/Creativity. Involves the ability to find solutions to problems using your creativity, reasoning, and past experiences along with the available information and resources.

Teamwork. Because so many jobs involve working in one or more work-groups, you must have the ability to work with others in a professional manner while attempting to achieve a common goal.

I think I embody most if not all of these qualities so hopefully I'll get the Internship lol. I hope this information helps you in your future endeavors!!! Good luck =) <333

Lift Every Voice and Sing

Lift every voice and sing,
Til Earth and Heaven ring.
Ring to the harmonies of Liberty.
Let our rejoicing rise,
High as the listening skies.
Let us resound load as the rolling Sea.

Sing a song, full of the faith that the dark past has taught us.
Sing a song, full of the hope that the present has brought us.

Facing the rising sun,
Of a new day begun.
Let us march on,
Til victory is won.

I wish I was there, when this song was in its prime. During the fight for racial independence was at its peak. I wonder what I would've done if I was segregated against, who would I have been, submissive or rebellious. Would I be dead already because of my strong character? I have never experienced racial slurs to their fullest, why would I, I live in Miami which is liek 90% Hispanic. Ive often wondered if I would be scared to encounter a hate crime but luckily this has never been a problem for me.

What would you do? If you were Jewish in th Holocaust, or Black or Hispanic in the early ninteen hundreds? Would you hide your true heritage if you could? If you were "white" enough? I would never, i'm too proud and that could have led to my untimely death. But to go back on who u truly are is dying, supressing your roots would lead to suffcation at least in my case. I'd rather die standing, than live on my knees (Thanks Shania). <3 Just late night thought... im so random lol. The song is beautiful though, i miss singing it at assemblies.

American Civil Tragedies

So today is 9/11, Patriots Day. Everyone remembers where the were that day, you've heard people retell their stories on the radio and shared their fears with an audience. I'm not going to be all cheesy telling you that its the saddest day in history, I'm just going to say remember. We were young when this happened, but we cant ever forget the tragedy that struck us seven years ago, the fear that struck home.

Unfortunately I feel that many of us have forgotten events that have hithard, such as Pearl Harbor, Dessert Storm, the Cold War, etc. Yes these things are in the past but you need to remember the mistakes we've made and the process we went through in order to overcome them so that if ever similar situations come up we know how to avoid them or recover from them.

Spend today with your families, love them, and be proud to be an American. Love everyone one, we're all in this together no matter who you've voted for or are. We're all Americans.

I'm a New Soul

Lovely =) Perfect for a new start of year X]

PS I want a house like that... lol

I'm a new soul
I came to this strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit bout how to give and take.
But since I came here,
Felt the joy and the fear
Finding myself making every possible mistake

la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

I'm a young soul
In this very strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit bout what is true and fake
But why all this hate?
Try to communicate
Finding trust and love is not always easy to make

la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

This is a happy end
'Cause you don't understand
Everything you have done
Why's everything so wrong?
This is a happy end
Come and give me your hand
I'll take you far away

I'm a new soul
I came to this strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit bout how to give and take.
But since I came here,
Felt the joy and the fear
Finding myself making every possible mistake

I'm a new soul... (la, la, la, la,...)
In this very strange world...
Every possible mistake
Possible mistake
Every possible mistake
Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes...
Take take take take take... take a mistake
Take, take a mistake
Take, take a mistake
(oh oh oh oh...)
[fade out]
(oh oh oh oh...)

Amazingness...

He's my hero

I love Tom Cruise

SO I need to kill time, my cousin is still not home.. ugh.. lol

Anyways I just finished watching Mission Impossible (yes the first one that came out in 96, when they still used floppy disks and VHS's lol yay!)

I Loved It!!!! Tom Cruise is my hero, at least for now. These are his babies, I love them all.. But I must say that I was dissapointed that Jack (Emilio Estevez) died first =( he was my fave! Besides Ethan.. it was very brutal how they all died in the first 15 minutes of the movie, and why do the frecnh always have to be bad? (Krieger and Sarah)

O well, I must say though, even though this one was great, I still loved the sequel the most. Nothing beats his sexiness climbing that mountain without a harness in the middle of nowhere and the lovely mythology tie on of Chimera and Bellerophon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimera_(mythology))his hair looked better in the second one too.

I will not mention the third movie, there is no need. Without it Mission Impossible is a perfect series.

anyways, love, yay!

enjoy =)

Hotness at 1:55 -2:00 sigh... why does he have to be crazy?

i love the song too..

School Started!!

Hey all!

I hope that this week hasn't been very eventful, yes school started but who wants to hit the books when Summer is still in the air? lol Well, nothing new in FIU except that I feel so freaking old in GC and I the classes that I need don't end until nine pm. But I'm glad to see old friends, I missed u guys <3 hug!

Anyways what I wanted to talk about today was finances!! YAY!!! As we all know, FIU lowered their online fee from $299 to $199. This is amazing, I have two online classes so i saved $200. Great, now I can buy my Legal Environment book.. yes it was 200 bucks... ridiculous, even online it was like $170 and no one had it because its a new edition. This is a shame how textbook companies overcharge students. Thank jeebus for amazon.com.. four classes worth of books would've cost $700, instead I got them online for $400. Yay! that extra cash can pay my bills =). We should rebel, and not buy books, or burn them.. then we wouldn't have hw.. who's with me? lol

O and my sympathy goes out to everyone who was dropped from their class six hours before the start of the new school year. That was ridiculous, Financial Aid should fix their scholarship reevaluation system or let students know when loans don't fall through. I'm glad most of you got your classes fixed and I hope everything is running smoothly.

Anyways I ran out of thoughts because I was rudely interrupted by someone who wanted a party kit.. ahem.. lol Good luck in school all and I hope u can afford ur books.

<3

love!

I cannot believe this...

I just saw on TMZ that apparently, the Jonas Brothers have been compared (alot) lately to the Beatles.

wtf..

What type of ridiculous statement is that? yes... lets compare a group of prepubescent untalented boys to the most magnificent band in history that changed the world with their style of music, their lyrics, and their political views.

Recently a picture was taken of the Jonas Brothers leaving their hotel in Virginia Beach, the picture IS very similar to the cover of Abbey Road but I'm pretty sure that a group of people walking across the street also looks similar to these timeless giants. I am in shock that comparisons can stoop so low. Jonas = Beatles is like saying Zac Efron = Elvis

For Christina

Geek in the Pink.. I love it yay! =)

CD's - Dinosaurs

CD sales have been plummeting ever since the age of illegal downloading dawned in the early 2000. Unfortunately, many retail stores and chains, such as Walmart are getting rid of their music section. I think this is so sad, it's the end of an era kind of like when we were told that Pluto is not a planet anymore.

Just like the new non planet, CD's have been around since the mid 80's it is a shame that their reign was only during our generation. We will be the last to remember the joys of buying a new CD and bringing it home just to be tired of over playing it three hours later. This experience will die with us and that it sad =(.

"I see it as a generational shift. A new batch of kids -- i.e. today's teenagers -- grew up with music always available with the press of a button. They never knew the joy of heading to the CD store the day their favorite band's album was set to come out, then heading back home with that cellophane-encased treasure in their hands. To them, music is a concept, not a tangible object. It's a disposable file, not an invaluable possession. The mindset has undergone a massive transformation, and the stores are seeing the result."

People nowadays have become the Drive Thru Generation, we need to have things immediately. I for one will miss being able to hold a tangible piece of art in my hands and will miss the use of my boom box (yes I have 2 with cassette players and everything). I do not need iTunes or Limewire. I'm fine with pictures and stories and lyrics of the music attached with my compact disc. Unfortunately, "advancements" have to be made, but I do not think this is an important advancement that people should focus on. Music is not made in a computer, it is just transferred there. Future generations will not be able to differentiate between that statement and it makes me worried about how much life is going to change in the near future.

Until CD's are completely off the shelf, you can find me in FYE looking through the soundtracks =)

I am..

so mad right now, you have no idea...

why would people (in college or at least out of high school if they have no interest in bettering their future) spend their saturday night like that? Thats what pisses me off the most... you have no life, its sad, and its dragging peaople around you down.

dont be surprised if you get left back.

I have a problem

I realized this today as I was finishing up Eclipse. Obviously I am a week and a half behind in the reader world because I just finished Stephanie Myers 3rd novel and the fourth is already out in bookstores. W/E. Water under the bridge... the reason why I have a problem is because I read a spoiler so I know whats going to happen in the fourth book. (no worries I won't do that to u) anyways the choice Bella has to make b/w Edward and Jacob.... omg if I were her I'd be selfish and take both, but since that's "not possible" I'm rooting for Jacob.

Werewolf vs Vampire, wtf. That's an easy answer.. if I had no knowledge of the books automatically I would've chosen vampires. Hello, Brad Pitt... Tom Cruise.. yeah, nuff said. All in all vampires have always been associated with a regal mystery and werewolves have never been the heroes. Look at Harry Potter, Fenrir Grayback was no charmer lol but as flat characters become round characters .. ahem .. the youth in La Push.. you see everything, everything that Bella would be leaving behind if she stayed with Edward. One question Ive had since the beginning of the series, would a vampire still love her when the first thing that attracted him to her was gone? (by that I mean the scent of her blood) If she becomes a vampire as well there will be no blood!!! O god she's stupid... Jacob truly loves her, they have great chemistry and back and forth fights and make ups.. its like a dream!! She's so dumb!! omg.. I'm going to go crazy. This is why I have a problem, everyone is "Team Edward" I'm "Team Jacob". This is difficult, first thing tomorrow I'm going to buy Breaking Dawn and I'm already ready to be disappointed. I wish Jacob was real =( I found where I'm going in Dec. Hello Forks, then La Push... I'm such a masochist, I cant wait to read Bella's unhappy ending.. ::sigh::

The 3 Guys You Should Date Before Your Life is Over

OK the question that's been on every girls mind since earth was created. When is it time to settle down? Everyone has a different age in their life where something just clicks, others just get pregnant and have to deal with it lol buuuuuttttttttttt before anyone ever forcefully puts themselves in that type of situation you should take into consideration the three boys that should be in your life before its over.

Disclaimer, obviously since it is suggested that you date these types of guys, 2 out of the three have to end badly in order to complete the process.

#1 The Nice Guy

Why you should date him: He'll show you how your supposed to be treated. He keeps Chivalry alive and treats you like a princess, not one of the boys. The lessons you'll get from dating him is self worth. He'll never treat you below par and you should always take those standards with you.

Why it might not work out: Life isn't always sunshine and roses, sometimes conflicts are needed to make life interesting and often how you react in those situations shows exactly how much you care about that person. A guy who is always perfect never gives you that opportunity and after a while perfection might be wearing.

#2 The Intellectual

Why you should date him: Competition. This guy strives for the straight A's and is an overachiever. If you date this persona his need for succeed will rub off on you and in turn make you successful as well.

Why it might not work: Competition. Life would always be a competition. Who got better grades, who is more involved, who is over all smarter. If you are always competing, how can you be at ease with each other or even share opinions? Even though this relationship might be destined for failure, hopefully you take with you the importance of success that he has shown you and you use that knowledge to your advantage in your academic life and at work.

#3 The Free Spirit

Why you should date him: After being bombarded with chocolates, roses, and straight A's you need to be exposed to a different part of life that you would not venture through on regular terms. He will show you things, a new way to look at the world that will open your eyes.

Why it might not work: Free spirits tend to not have very stable incomes, its not fun to be in love and starving, unless you are madly, deeply, truly in love. But chances are you will get impatient and either nag him to get a job which in turn will make him lose his free spirit and he'll resent u forever... not fun lol

Well there you have it, before you settle down give everyone a chance, do not try to label them. But if your interested in different types of people that might better you as a person, these guys would be the top three. Now hopefully you'll find someone who embodies these three personas and become a better person in one shot but we'll see what happens lol

-Love

Magic

Perfection.. Another day at work, another success... Amazing! sigh.. I think im going to make a video to this song (no not that kind) anyone want to be in my band?

I'm Baaaaaccck!!

First of all I want to apologize for keeping my public waiting. I realized this blog is very important to me no matter how many stupid comments I make or how infinitely lost it is in cyber space. It's an outlet and a damn good one at that =) lol. Now that I'm finished with the introduction i wanted to talk today about the power of music.

I LOVE music, every since i was a screaming toddler I thought that the wretched noises coming out of me were harmonies lol. Anyways in my new job at ADI I spend the whole day listening to Pandora.com just listening. sometimes the right song hits the spot, it can be an old familiar one or one that I've never heard but their lyrics choke me up. It;s pretty pathetic actually having a worker sobbing in the corner because the imagery of the song is too strong, or beautiful.. but I only do that when everyone has left the office =P.

I may be the only crazy person who actually wants to see herself on the beach alone, with a radio, hearing these "things" reaching my ears matching the rhythm of the waves painting a picture of serenity in my mind. We're in college, we'll all grow up soon. What do you want to be when you grow up? I don't care, as long as I never lose this feeling. It's a feeling of want, of incompleteness that makes you reach for what you do and in the process leads you to beautiful things, in this case sounds... its love =) these songs are producing love for me. its love and hope and happiness and makes me me X). I'm sorry I'm getting mushy but I'm listening to I'm yours by Jason Mraz right now and this is the product of such a wonderful melody. I wish i was at the beach right now lol

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Kid Rock, Fanny Lu, and Jason Mraz. I do not know if they are the original songwriters, but the combined efforts of everyone in their party always produce masterpieces.

anyways, enough of the mushy stuff.. remember to listen always, not just to the pleasantries of the melody but to the lyrics as well. People who take the time to write for you should be heard, especially if it is not commercialized.

Peace and Love,

always =)

Which do you prefer?

For about a year now a war has sprung between two online "friend" sites. Similar to the Cola Wars, most people are consumers of both and or have their favorite. So let's examine them for a bit

Myspace:
www.myspace.com

Myspace is the original addiction of many teeny boppers. It has followed us from high school to college and is still the dominating sight for "Friends".

Pros:
Music. you can decorate your own profile with videos, music from artists online, or add your own.
Backgrounds: in order to add to your individuality you can change your background with different layouts or your own pictures.
Privacy: Myspace is definitely more private than facebook. Basic myspace does not tell others what you are doing every minute of the day, therefore making you look less like you have no life and only spend time on that certain site.

Cons:
Loss of popularity: nowadays people can't wait for the next big thing. Unfortunately myspace is a passing fad and people are starting to notice the loss of its popularity. This in turn gives them incentive to delete their profiles and leaves you with less friends =(.
Less Use: Why would you want to use a site that only connects you to five friends?

Facebook:
www.facebook.com

Facebook started off as a get together site for college students. As its popularity grew, it expanded to being a networking system for anyone.

Pros:
Applications: The applications on facebook allow you to be more interactive with your friends online. Poking and handing out bumber stickers allow you to tell your friends you're thinking of them without leaving comments.
Wall to Wall: In the original stages of networking sites, facebook was the first to create the Wall to Wall application.
Pictures, facebook was the first to allow you to put up unlimited pictures and allowed you to tag buddies.

Cons:
NOoooooooooooooo Privacy: even though its an option this should be a hassle, facebook has no privacy when it comes to your actions and forwards what you're doing to the world.
Photos: Only 60 pictures fit in an album
Facebook is like the NSYNC of Boy bands. Biters...

Well can you guess which one i prefer? DING DING DING, myspace for me is the more wholesome and the most basic one with all your needs. Yes bumper stickers are nice, but I prefer a profile with music. Take the poll and tell me which one you prefer and Google Cola Wars on the tool bar below cuz they're cool =)

If you do any of these u suck at kissing...

Are you a good kisser?

By Nicole Kristal

Basically u suck if you perform any of these oral acts, I read this article on MSN.com and thought it was too good to pass up, so boys: learn and girls: avoid boys who don't learn.. k thanks muaz!

The Vampire Lip-Sucker

When my date Andrew first started biting and sucking on my lower lip, I tried to redirect the kiss by going for his upper lip. But when he kept doing it and my lip began to throb, I pulled away with a not-so subtle, “Ow.” He didn’t take the hint and with each tug, my lip grew rawer. The next day, at a family barbecue, everyone wondered why I had a purple lower lip. Sure, a soft bite on the lip can be a turn on, but 10 in a row can leave your date looking like she got punched in the mouth. The first sign of a bad kisser is the inability to respond to feedback (sorry, Andrew; it’s true). If you’re not getting a positive response, don’t be afraid to stray from a move that you thought worked on someone else. Bad kissers often make the mistake of hoping you’ll grow to like whatever weird thing they’re doing. This almost never works and almost always leaves your lover bemoaning your inexperience.

The Speed Racer

Another common attribute of a bad kisser is out-of-sync kisses that don’t match the other person’s rhythm. Just as relationships are about finding a happy medium, kissers should try to conform to a mutual speed. The one time I made out with Sean, he threw on a Prodigy album, and then proceeded to kiss me faster than the driving techno beat. When he wouldn’t slow down, I politely grooved my way right out his door.

I have a tongue, too, thank you

Tom was a good-looking, smart guy who played guitar and opened every door for me, but he also had a knack for filling my entire mouth with his imperialistic tongue, which completely crushed mine as it recklessly reached for my tonsils. No matter what I did, I couldn’t remove it, mostly because my own tongue seemed to have disappeared. Lots of oral offenders’ tongues make the mistake of setting up permanent residence in their dates’ mouths. The tongue should be about playful give and take: Tease, then pull back. If that gets a positive response, venture a little further, but never leave your date thinking, “What the heck happened to my tongue?” or “Red alert: Suffocation setting in!”

Mr. Hoover

Mr. Hoover is the opposite of the previous smoocher—he likes to suck your tongue right out of your mouth and hold onto it. If your date’s entire head is unwillingly following yours because you’re holding her tongue hostage, that’s probably not a good thing. Tongue suction is tricky. Unless you know exactly the amount of suction to exert and the duration to hold your partner’s tongue captive (Hint: it’s not five minutes), you’re treading into Bad Kisser Land.

The Cheek-Licker

Licking or lapping your date’s cheek will leave him or her either (a) grossed out or (b) laughing. Licking people’s faces isn’t hot. (I don’t care if your girlfriend freshman year loved it; she was one in a million, maybe 100 million.) When it comes to kissing, the tongue should make contact with two — and only two — places above the shoulders besides the mouth—the neck and the ear. But if you shoot for these erogenous zones, don’t overdo it. Wet willies and hickeys are for amateurs.

YAY!!!! GIANTS WON!!!!

Congrats to Eli Manning, his family must be proud to have spawned two great athletes who both now have Superbowl Rings! For those of you who didnt see the Superbowl last night, shame on you! Especially if you're a Floridian. I know for a fact most of Florida was definately rooting for the Giants so that the Patriots would not ruin the 1972 Dolphin's legacy of being the only team in pro football to have a perfect season. The first half of the game was a waste of time. The last five minutes however were full of time outs and excitement! The Giants ended up winning 17-14. During the last second of the game, the Patriots head coach refused to see his team lose so he went out into the field, shook hands with the opposing team and walked off the field in order to avoid seeing the inevitable. This selfish act cost the prolongment of The Patriots defeat and completely labeled him as a sore loser. Either way Arizona was booming with cheers as the clock finally reached 00:00. New Yorkers were probably already flooding pubs and bars by the game was over. I'm so happy =D. I think the right team won! Take the poll and leave me your thoughts and check out some superbowl commercials on the Google search bar at the bottom of the page. Hope u had fun! =)
